Villa Casdagli
Casdagli Cigars’ cooperation with the Tabacos de Costa Rica SA, then known as Vegas Santiago, started in 2012. The design of the Villa Casdagli cigar ring and cigar box seek inspiration from Villa Casdagli, the home of Casdagli family patriarch Emmanuel Casdagli in the early 1900s in Cairo, Egypt.
The blends of the new lineup are based on the Daughters of the Wind Robusto that was solely produced for the US market. The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper fermented for 2 years then aged for another 3, an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 binder aged for 4 years, fillers consist of a Nicaraguan Esteli, Dominican Criollo and a Peruvian Habano, all aged between 3 and 5 years.
The Villa Casdagli Line consists of 4 vitolas:
Toro (152 x 21,4 | 6 x 54)
Pigasus (127 x 21,4/23 | 5 x 54/58 figurado)
Corona Gorda (140 x 18,3 | 5 1/2 x 46)
Robusto (127 x 20,6 | 5 x 52)
While the rest of the lineup’s vitolas are a classic choice, the Pigasus pays homage to its original “flying pig” – one of the first cigars to be created for Bespoke Cigars (Casdagli Cigars’ predecessor) in Cuba during the 1990s.
