Remember the Padilla Serie 68? Remember how crazy people went, snatching up as many as they could because it was such a great smoke? It was produced at Tabacalera Aguilar, the same factory which is producing the newest Padilla, La Pilar. This box-pressed beauty is draped in an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper with Esteli and Jalapa Nicaraguan fillers mixed with a touch of Dominican leaf. Earthy with notes of aged tobacco, burnt sugar, cookie and black and white pepper, this is one of the best balanced and complex smokes to come from Ernesto Padilla in a long time. We truly feel that this one is box-worthy - some of our employees here are already planning on taking a few boxes home once these are available - because it's perfectly suited to be enjoyed at any time of the day, pairable with any meal or drink, and not so overbearing that you won't want to smoke a few of them in a day!
