In 2014 he began working on new blends at the famed Raices Cubanas factory with the express intent of getting a cigar into your hands that tastes better than, and is constructed better than, its price would belie. And speaking of price, it would have to retail at under $7. Not a small task, if you ask us.
One of those blends is the Corojo 99, an entubado wrapped gem that features a Raices Cubanas-grown wrapper from the Honduras/Nicaragua border and internal Aganorsa tobaccos. The spicy, woody, and complex nature of the Corojo 99 leaf really shines through in this blend, and for the price it can't be beat!
