EP Carrillo Essence Connecticut
E.P. Carrillo is bringing a pair of new lines to the 2025 PCA Convention & Trade Show: the Essence Series Connecticut and the La Historia Silk.
The Essence Series Connecticut has been on the radar for about a year, as in March 2024, the company announced the series would kick off with the E.P. Carrillo Sumatra. It was the first of six blends planned to be released over a two to three-year period and was shipped alongside the E.P. Carrillo Maduro, with the pair followed by the E.P. Carrillo Honduras.
The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut uses an Ecuadorian-grown, Connecticut-seed wrapper, while the binder is a Honduran-grown criollo 98 leaf, and the filler comes from Honduras and the Dominican Republic. The company says the profile has “delicate notes of cream, hay, and light pepper.”
