Crowned Heads Headley Grange

The concept for Headley Grange came somewhere in the Summer of 2011 while the guys at Crowned Heads were in the midst of finalizing the blend that would become their first release, Four Kicks. A tweet was posted to the effect of, ''I wish we could blend a cigar that tastes the way the drums sound on Led Zeppelin's When The Levee Breaks." That was enough to kick owner Jon Huber into gear.

In August 2012, 1,000 boxes of the Estupendos vitola were released at the IPCPR trade show. Those 1,000 boxes sold out in a matter of 2 1/2 days and the industry buzz about Crowned Heads' soon-to-become second brand quickly spread. By the end of 2012, Headley Grange was on numerous "Best Cigars of 2012" lists, including Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 list.

Headley Grange is a truly unique blend that has been described as "big, bold, and gutsy," but we think there's a very complex, understated and elegant cigar underneath - and really, that's fitting given the comparison to John Bonham's drumming.
