True to its name, the Epic is fuller-bodied than other Montecristos and provides a robust blend of complex flavors. One draw elicits wonderfully rich notes of chocolate, nuts, coffee, fruit, and caramel. The smoke is wonderfully round and aromatic. The Montecristo Epic No. 2 is the same tobacco composition as the Montecristo Epic line but with a tweaked blend. A select Ecuadorian Habano Santi Espiritu wrapper from Guayaguil envelopes a Nicaraguan binder and a special selection of vintage Esteli, Nicaraguan and La Canela Dominican Piloto Ligero tobaccos, all from the 2007 crop. This is richer and bolder than the Montecristo Epic, with notes of hazelnut, Asian spice, dry cocoa powder, coffee bean, earth, wood, almond, cream and walnut.
